Browser-local trips

This static beta has no user account or shared trip database. Routes, stops, profiles and preferences you save are held in this browser’s local storage. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to view them. Clearing site data removes those copies. Export a full-trip JSON backup or GPX/TCX route to keep your own copy.

Location and third-party requests

The app requests browser location only when you click a location button. You can decline and choose a starting point manually. Coordinates are used to show your position and, when you plan from that point, to request routes or weather. No precise starting location is bundled with the app.

Your browser connects directly to the following providers as the relevant features load. They receive your IP address and the relevant search text, map tile areas or planning coordinates. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. The operator of the static host may also keep ordinary web access logs.

• OpenStreetMap and Nominatim: map tiles and submitted place searches.
• BRouter: routing waypoints and road-bike routes.
• MET Norway: forecast sample coordinates rounded to roughly 1 km cells; CC BY 4.0. Long-range weather is interpolated and rain may be averaged over a forecast period.
• Overpass: map-area café, cycling-road, shelter and climb searches; OpenStreetMap data.
• OpenFreeMap / OpenMapTiles: vector tiles for cafés, bike shops, services and road-based climb discovery; OpenStreetMap data.
• PDOK: Dutch landcover and boundary data.
• AWS / Mapzen terrain: elevation tiles for terrain, shelter and climb profiles.
• CycleTrip via GitHub: public climb catalogue, CC BY 4.0; OSM road geometry.
• Esri: optional satellite, hillshade and reference tiles.
• Waymarked Trails: cycling-route overlay tiles.

No analytics in this package

The beta package includes no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking pixels. Fonts and interface code are hosted with the site. This does not prevent external data providers or your hosting provider from processing their own request logs.

Beta limitations

Public services may impose limits or become unavailable. Estimated route access, road surfaces, weather, times, effort and calories are not guarantees. Mapped opening hours are evaluated in the venue’s timezone; missing, complex or outdated expressions still need confirmation with the venue. Wahoo navigation and stop icon rendering vary by model and import method.

To remove local saved data, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings. Downloaded route and backup files remain under your control.
